Mineralogy

Our mineralogists have experience in a wide range of construction and industrial mineral identification applications. This can include :

• HAC Concrete: recognition, degree of conversion, carbonation & alkaline hydrolysis.
• Identification of mineral addtions to concrete and mortars, such as PFA, GGBS, MK and MS.
• Identification and interpretation of efflorescent materials.
• Identification and differentiation between ettringite and thaumasite forms of sulphate attack.
